Harold reaches local children with lessons that build confidence, resilience, healthy relationships, and positive decision-making skills.
Hamilton, Waikato
For thousands of Hamilton children, Life Education Trust provides trusted education that helps them navigate the challenges of growing up.
Through engaging lessons with Harold the Giraffe, children learn about:
- Wellbeing and resilience
- Healthy relationships
- Making positive choices
- Respecting themselves and others
- Building confidence and emotional skills
These are life lessons that help children thrive — not just in the classroom, but throughout their lives.
The challenge:
Many people are surprised to learn that Life Education receives no direct government funding for its local operations. Everything we do is made possible through the generosity of our community.
This year, we need to raise $160,000 to keep Harold visiting Hamilton schools and delivering these vital programmes to local children.
Why it matters:
Every day we work with children facing increasing challenges around mental wellbeing, relationships, self-esteem, and making healthy choices. Teachers tell us these conversations are needed now more than ever. Without community support, fewer children will have access to these programmes.
How you can help:
Every donation, large or small, helps keep Harold in our schools and ensures local children continue receiving the education and support they need to flourish. Because every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.
Please donate today and help keep Harold visiting Hamilton schools for another year.
Thank you for supporting the children of our community.
Life Education children learn from a young age that there will never be another person like them. They learn how to make good decisions, what their body needs to live a healthy life and that we should all respect and support each other.
All funds raised will go directly towards keeping Harold in our schools and community, delivering life-changing health and wellbeing education to local children.
