HELP Wheelchair badminton players hard work pay off. 🏸👩🦽
Napier, Hawke's Bay
When I was I was 18yrs old I broke my neck in a horse riding accident, going from a active person to not been able to move . I spent 6mths in hospital and 2yrs with 24hr care as I slowly rehabbed.
I finally got my act together and realised my life wasn't over and 23yrs later I have achieved alot.
Becoming independent, getting married having 2 children, playing wheelchair rugby for 15+yrs.
I have always been very stubborn and don't let challenges get in my way, finding a different way of doing things.
This is where I embarked in playing wheelchair badminton. When I 1st tryed I couldn't even hit a shuttle, 4yrs on I represent New Zealand.
I now Train 6 days a week with 3x a week with High proformance Strength and Conditioning Coach
3x a week with badminton coach 1.5hr lessons.
4- 5x a week 1hr pushes.
I'm extremely determined to reach my goal in getting to the 2024 paralympic.
BUT I NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE.
I need to do a MINIMUM of 6 tournament next year, the more the better to get enough points to qualify for the paralympics. BUT this sport is self funded with me already paying for all my coaching, court hire, health, etc. Plus I need to take a support person with me because of my level of injury.
SO PLEASE HELP ALL MY HARD WORK BECOME REALITY.
