Home — Wheels Worship Album Fundraiser

$10,300 of $10,000 goal
Given by 60 generous donors in 5 weeks

We’re fundraising to record our second worship album. We'd love your support!

Newtown, Wellington

In 2024, a group of us from St Tom’s Church recorded our first worship album, Songs for the Road. This was born out of the experiences travelling Aotearoa as part of a Jesus community called Wheels. And it brings us so much joy knowing it has found a home with many of you.

Now, nearly two years later, we have some new songs to share.

Those first songs were born on the road. These songs were written at home. Our missional heart is the same, but we’re now trying to figure out what life with God looks like in everyday life. Like how to be a parent. How to hold onto hope. And how to rest in the knowledge of a God who loves us, and walks alongside us in every chapter. He’s with us. He's good. And he calls us deeper. Our goal for these songs is to find language for those needing to hear this good news once again, as well as serving as an invitation to those leaning in for the first time.

You may also notice that we’re also rocking a new name, which is a nod to our whakapapa as a group, and the fact that we are now scattered all across the motu. While we have roots in both Newtown and Tākaka, we hope our new name might be a bit more stretchy for the kaupapa of this worship project going forward.

We'll be recording in Auckland in September, and aim to release the music before the year ends. And we'd love for you to consider supporting us!

We'll also be posting updates here and on Instagram with snippets of the songs and our progress so follow along!

Much love,

Isaac, Chris, Rachel & friends

Use of funds

The money raised from this campaign will go towards the gear, travel costs, and hiring experts required to record and engineer the music. That's it! Everything else is being done on volunteer time and the smell of an oily rag.

E te whānau, with your help, we reached our goal! Thank you so much for your incredible generosity. It means the world to us! Just a few weeks to go now, and we will be heading up to Tāmaki to record. Please pray for health, joy, and God's presence to surround us as we prepare, as well as for the weekend of recording itself.

In gratitude,

Isaac, Chris, Rachel & friends
