LETS GOOOOO! 🐉

$1,995 of $6,500 goal

Help me drive the conversation for people living with disability. Lets show them what can be done. It's a do over not an ending.

Christchurch, Canterbury

My name is Craig Harrington, and I am a lower extremity adaptive athlete in the sport of CrossFit. Since starting into the world of CrossFit I have achieved 37th in the world in the CrossFit Open and have recently returned from competing at the Torian Pro, a CrossFit Semifinals competition at the Pat Rafter Arena in Brisbane Australia next to the number one lower extremity adaptive athlete in the world. Mr Rogan Dean.

I Have also qualified to compete at the Oceania Throwdown which is also in Brisbane at the Nissan Arena. This is the first in person qualifier for the Oceania region to win a spot to compete at the WheelWod Games. This is the adaptive communities CrossFit games in America in December.

In my professional life I am a prosthetic technician, leading the workshop in Christchurch New Zealand. I produce artificial limbs and help get people back on their feet. I have been in the industry as a professional for 5 years and have loved every minute. In 2020 I decided to go back to school to get my level 4 and 5 certificate in sports leadership and personal training with the hope that I could help other adaptive athletes express themselves in sports or just have more full lives. It was here I found CrossFit when I interned at a Crossfit box. The community and the methodology were exactly what I was wanting. Since then, CrossFit HQ has given my community the chance to express themselves at the highest level and has put adaptive athletes on the map. 😁🐉

Wheelwod   22 October 2023

With obly a few weeks to go I have been working hard on improving the skills I have and gaining some new ones. Particularly swimming. I've not really swam since I was a kid so it had been basically like starting again. I have really enjoyed myself which I wasn't expecting. Also handstand walking. To be able to do this even half decent was a huge win for me. I'd like that thank all those that have supported me on this journey both with encouragement and sponsorship. It really does take a village to achieve this goal. Know that when I arrive at wheelwod I won't just be representing myself but everyone that has stood behind me to make sure this happened ❤️ I still need your support to help cover costs so anything that you have to give is so greatly appreciated 🙏❤️
