#whywait September 2015

We experienced the devastating and very sudden loss of one of our beloved trustees in September last year - she was just days shy of her 37th birthday. This prompted the women of the Shocking Pink community to come up the concept of #whywait.

#whywait is about seizing the moment, making every second count and not putting things off for another day hence the hashtag #whywait.

Last year many women honoured the memory of Ness through posting online pics of their personal gestures as simple as eating fish and chips from their fine china to booking world cruises and trips to see loved ones. The message was simple – life is precious…#whywait.

September is now the month of #whywait, in celebration of life and in acknowledgment that it can be taken away from us at any moment. We all have that desire at the back of our minds that we haven't got around to doing. Here at Shocking Pink we want to honour the memories of those who didn't get to fulfill that desire by making sure we fulfill our own.

* So book that trip to Fiji or France....

* Plant those backyard fruit trees this weekend....

* Eat that entire pizza with no guilt attached....

* Take that week off to spend precious time with your loved ones....

2 )Post a picture of you seizing the moment and fulfilling a personal desire and use the hashtag #whywait to spread awareness for Shocking Pink and breast cancer in young women.

2) Provide the link for this givealittle page to encourage people to donate along with their gesture.

3) Tag your friends and nominate them to do the #whywait challenge and make a donation to those fighting to make every moment count.
