Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation

$444 donated

The aim of this page is to raise money for ethical wildlife conservation projects in South Africa.

Bay of Plenty

I am raising money to continue my work with South African wildlife. Over the last two years I have been involved in the rescue and relocation of lions bred into canned hunting farms, the caring of orphaned elephants whose parents were killed by poachers and the monitoring and assisting in medical interventions of injured rhinos. I have worked towards ethically growing the population of wild cheetahs and been involved in many other conservation projects with Southern African wildlife.

To continue my research and work alongside ethical nature reserves around South Africa, I need to raise money to cover my costs such as food, water, travel costs, medical supplies and money that goes directly into the reserves so they can continue to support these animals when medical operations, food supplements, or relocations may be necessary.

A lot of the work that goes into this field is voluntary, therefor many animals rely on donations for survival.

Use of funds

The money will be used to fund my own costs over there (travel, food, water, volunteering costs, etc).

Funds may be used to help cover vet and medical bills when animals may be injured or required to be relocated to safer areas.
