Help us to rise funds to support Willy, Sarah and Jake during these tough times
Nelson / Tasman
In February 2022 Willy (4 yrs) was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that mainly effects children under 5 years old. Very unfortunately this has also spread to his bones. Around 10 kids in New Zealand per year are diagnosed with this, and around half of them won’t have it spread (much less serious).
Willy is looking at at least a year of incredibly aggressive treatment, including chemo, surgery, radiation and stem cell therapy. This treatment will take place in Nelson and Christchurch hospitals with Willy’s parents Sarah and Jake taking turns to be with Willy during this time.
This is obviously a very upsetting and stressful time for Sarah and Jake. We have set up this give a little page to help provide Sarah and Jake some financial support while they take time off work to look after their precious little boy. In doing so we hope that any money raised may relieve a bit of the added pressure and stress from being off work and having to pay extra bills, such as flights and other expenses, while away from home. Any extra money raised we would love to use to buy Willy a few special presents to keep him entertained during what will be long hospital stays.
Sarah and Jake would like to acknowledge their immense gratitude to everyone who has reached out and offered support in so many ways and would like to thank everyone for being with them and supporting them on this journey.

Any money raised will be used to support Willy by helping to pay for flights and other expenses occurred while Sarah and Jake take time off work to support their boy.
Forever grateful 14 June 2022
As this givealittle page is coming to an end very soon we would like to send a final message to say, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported us during this journey. Each of your messages have been read and received with so much love and gratitude it’s hard to put into words. Your donations have meant that we currently don’t have to worry as much about life’s financial stresses while looking after our precious boy. To know that there are so many caring, loving and generous people out there warms our hearts on the darkest of days.
Willy arrived back in Nelson yesterday where he will stay for the next 9 days before flying back down to Christchurch for the big scan so see if his treatments are working. After this he will have his operation and radiotherapy.
There’s still such a long way to go on our journey and we invite you to continue on this journey with us by following our facebook page – Willy’s Journey https://www.facebook.com/groups/526160722101710/ Any future fundraising that may take place will be posted on this fb group.
Much love from
Jake, Sarah and Baillie, and Willy.
