"Bringing comfort and joy to the community, one woolly lamb cuddle at a time

Wagon of Woollies is a mobile wellbeing project run by me, Melissa Keillor.

It brings lamb cuddles, fibre crafts and gentle connection to people and groups who could use a little warmth, joy and support.

Visits can include lamb cuddles, bottle feeding, wool craft activities, photos, learning and quiet moments of connection. There is something for children, adults, families, community groups, workplaces and care settings.

Our aim is to keep visits affordable, and to offer free visits where cost would otherwise be a barrier.

For the past three years, I have taken my orphan lambs into my workplace, a mental health and addictions recovery service. What began as a way to raise and socialise these little woollies soon became something much bigger.

They brought warmth, surprise, laughter, conversation and connection.

In spring 2026, I want to bring this experience to more people across the community. The visits will give people the chance to meet, cuddle, bottle-feed, photograph and learn about orphan lambs and the care they need.

Every donation helps us share kindness, creativity and connection, one visit at a time.

We are raising funds to build a unique, purpose-made wagon for the Woollies, with comfort, cleanliness and safety at the heart of the design.

Funds will also help cover animal care, including food and veterinary costs, along with the time and travel needed for visits and events.
