Let's help get Miriam to the World Champs in Spain just 4.5 years after a nearly life ending accident.
Cambridge, Waikato
In November 2020 I had a horrific mountain biking accident from which I was lucky to survive.
I now live with the ongoing symptoms of a moderate to severe traumatic brain injury. After about a year of rehab and needing to work, I created an epic business (Cy-Co, The Cycle Coffee Company) that enabled me to slowly build my life back together.
I didn't think I would ever ride a bike again but after about 3 years I longed to be back on 2 wheels.
Now, 4.5 years on I have participated in a few cycling events, a triathlon and most recently an off road triathlon. The aim was complete, not compete, but my effort was enough to see me qualify in my age group for the World Championships in Pontevedra, Spain in June 2025.
This is HUGE. It's not often that one gets the opportunity to wear the fern so I really want to make this trip happen for me and my son who happens to be learning Spanish at high school.
We can't do this without your help.
In 3.5 years of my business being in operation my community has helped me raise a combined total of over $5000 for Brain Injury Waikato, Cambridge Life Skills and Cambridge RDA.
I now ask you to please help raise funds for me to represent my country and to continue to be a beacon for hope and positivity.
Getting us to Spain
Goal updated 16 April 2025
As we get further down the planning track costs are escalating so I have updated my goal.
