Help Our Athletes Get To The Worlds!
For the first time, New Zealand will be sending a team of athletes to compete in the 7th World Junior Wushu Championships. This will be held in Brazil, July 2018.
The cost per team member is approximately $5000. Our team consists of six athletes, a team doctor and our coach, who is required to be there in order for the athletes to participate.
These six children are all NZ’s top junior athletes, selected from the New Zealand National Kung Fu Wushu Championships, 2017, and are part of the New Zealand National Wushu Development Squad. They range from ages 11 – 13 years old, and will be competing for New Zealand in different gender, age and weapon categories.
Many years of hard work, training, commitment, and discipline is involved before an athlete can compete on the world stage. We feel very privileged to have the opportunity to compete internationally for New Zealand for the first time.
We will be immensely grateful for a donation of any amount – thank you!
If donations exceed the required amount, the excess will go towards our next International Competition – The Oceania Wushu Championships October 2018!
