Save The Sealion.....This Wellington art feature and cultural icon needs your help.....

    Hello and again, many thanks to those who have donated thus far.The Give A Little page ends soon,so I am hoping for a final push to get the funding level up somewhat.A video Journalist based in Wellington,Jan Frantisek Kohout,has been aboard filming and interviewing. This will be aired very soon,and I will keep everyone up to speed as to which platform it will be on. So please keep tuned ,I will put something on the Save The Sealion page on Facebook regarding this.

    I advertised on Facebook to see what would happen. Not much! I think I reached about 6000 people,got lots of likes,a lot of silly comments,and ,I think,one donation (thank you very much for this....) So hopefully a big push at the end will work.Please share where and when you can.

    I have another use for the Sealion as a "Peace Ship".There are terrible things going on in New Zealand at this time,and I think we need a new "Rainbow Warrior "ship to raise awareness of these things and become a focal point for affirmative action.

    I believe the Sealion should be such a Boat,without the sad and tragic ending,of course.

    Thank you to the dedicated fans who have donated so far....I sincerely thank you ,and your donation is really appreciated ,no matter what size. A shout-out to the folks who were associated with the Sealion in the past and have donated, and salutations to those who are just fans who have decided to support the cause.

    There will be a news item regarding the Sealion and its challenges appearing in around three weeks, this is being put together by some Wellington Journalists, I am unsure of which platform it will be on, but will keep everyone informed as soon as it is made known to me.

    There is another issue that has arisen recently, which may affect the Structual Health of the Ship, I will post more on this after I have researched the subject a bit further. I concerns the proximity of the Sealion to the berths of the Bluebridge Ferries. In the meantime, thanks again and please watch for further details.

    Many, many thanks to those who have donated so far... I am so grateful for all the help you have given. I am going to need some serious Media attention to boost the Give A Little page, I have contacted the reporters and agencies who covered the Petition and related issues last time, but no interest thus far. Any thoughts on publicity would be appreciated. Thanks again, and the Penguin Pirate flag will be hoisted again soon!
