Those that know Geeta know what an amazing kind, loving person she is. She is a compassionate, endearing, protective, strong, and an extraordinarily great mother to all her children. The family is facing the challenge of supporting Yash and meeting their daily financial needs, so are asking for assistance from those close to them. Anything you can give will enable the family to spend valuable time together.
Yashan’s (Yash) journey:
21 years old and a brave young man! He has Stage 4 Fibrosarcoma—an aggressive form of cancer.
He has faced significant health challenges since birth. Born with a rare benign tumour in his pelvis affecting the sciatic nerve, he experienced a lack of sensation from the knee down in his right leg, coupled with a drop foot. Early on, he underwent chemotherapy with a prognosis indicating the tumour's potential growth and the risk of malignancy as he aged.
Yash pursued a career as an apprentice mechanic, finding fulfilment in his work. Unfortunately, last year brought a new and severe setback as Yash was then diagnosed with Stage 4 Fibrosarcoma—an aggressive cancer affecting soft tissues and muscles in the pelvis and lungs. Yash had to leave his job to undergo chemotherapy.
Initial progress was noted after the first round of chemotherapy, clear scans of the lungs.
Recent scans have revealed increased presence in the pelvis and lungs. Yash is currently deliberating the best course of action, mindful of the toll the treatment has taken on his body.
Friend and colleague
Geeta and her family are facing really challenging times. Yash’s Mum (Geeta) has taken a year's leave from her job to support her son Yash in his care journey. Funds will be put towards daily financial needs and living costs.
