Guinea Pig Sanctuary & Rescue

Yogi’s Village is a self run rescue based in Christchurch. We take in sick, pregnant and unwanted guinea pigs which is a massive growing concern in New Zealand.

We offer sanctuary to special need guinea pigs, retirement to guinea pigs at an elderly age and sanctuary to those who have long term conditions. We adopt out as many as we can to approved homes to try and end the harm and abuse these beautiful creatures endure.

We offer education, housing checks and ensure all guinea pigs that are able to be adopted are vet checked, all males are de-sexed and all are mite treated before leaving the sanctuary.
