      are there any updates beyond the early dates in september? have they been able to salvage their home or any part of it??

      They managed to salvage a bit but a majority of their stuff was either washed away or majorly damaged

    We just wanted to do a huge shout out and thank you to Jenny Rollinson and the Barfoot and Thompson team, They have jumped through hoops to get us into a house and we are able to move tomorrow! We are so greatfull and cant wait to have a safe/dry roof over our heads.

    And a big thank you to our great community again, we wouldnt have been able to get through this without you all, we are sorry we havnt been able to thank and reply to everyone individually.

    All of the horses are doing okay!

    If anyone else is struggling and needs a hand we have a few set of hands here able to help just shout out

      So great that you have found a new place to live. Yes, we know what you mean when we say someone has lost "everything" - yes almost everything - there couldn't have been that much that was salvageable! So glad your missing pets have been found and all are now ok. Take care! Sue

  • Pig is Home

    Great news the Pig has made its way home!!

    Also just want to clear up the second story of the house wasn't under water but the floor is soaked from the water reaching it, so anything on the floor is soaked and anything wood has absorbed the water. The power didn't trip as it should which shocked Sean as he was trying to get the horses up stairs, but we are not sure what damage this has done to any of the electronics as until they find a new house they will not know if they have been damaged or not but there was a lot of items down stairs as this was the garage, laundry and bathroom and there was a lot of items lost from down there. We have updated the content on the main page to clarify they have not lost everything, but almost everything.

    Sorry for the long post but people are asking how things are so thought best to put a update as we are super appreciative and in awe of everyone's generosity.

    Hi all they are just accessing what they are able to selvage from the property, but they had a good nights sleep last night and a feed this morning, so a good start to the day. This is the tide mark from the oil that leaked out of their vehicles, water was actually higher than this at one stage !!
