Definitely find out why it wasnt picked up earlier in New Zealand. Take your findings to the Health and Disability Commissioner and they will pursue it further for you. This will obviously help others. Good luck

Thank you very much for your help in giving advice on how to take the 1st step in finding out why this was missed. We as a family will be in the process of this very soon and yes it will be a very long, heart breaking process but we will be strong and will get to the bottom of this for her and other families as well.
