Transforming CAMHS Spaces: Creating Room for Healing
We are a student-led initiative on a mission to transform the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) rooms at the Hania Street site. Our goal is local but powerful: to raise $15,000 to refurbish these rooms into warm, safe, and truly therapeutic spaces for youth in our community.
Why Your Support Matters
The CAMHS rooms are used every day by young people navigating some of the toughest moments of their lives. While the spaces are functional, they lack the comfort that helps a young person feel grounded.
We believe surroundings matter. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, warm colours, and sensory tools can make a profound difference in how safe, calm, and dignified someone feels during their therapeutic journey. By improving these rooms, we are creating an environment where healing can begin.
How We Are Making It Happen
Every dollar raised goes directly into revitalising these essential spaces:
* Direct Donations: This page funds the raw materials, furniture, and décor needed for the overhaul.
* Community Partnerships: Backed by local businesses like Ernesto's and Kristina Raffaele Hairdressing.
