Yuuma has been selected to represent New Zealand in Thailand in March, lets help him get there!

Bay of Plenty

My son Yuuma Kohori has been selected to represent New Zealand at the World Kickboxing Association (WKA) Asia-Pacific Championship. This is part of the International Thailand Martial Arts Games and Festival, which will be held in Bangkok in March 2019.

Yuuma is 20 years old, based in Papamoa, and is working full time to support his Martial Arts and Kickboxing training. Yuuma has been training with Red Dragon Kickboxing in Papamoa for over two years and in September 2018, won a WKA North Island Weight Title Belt.

As this is an amateur event the full cost of attending the competition sits with the individual. The costs for each fighter will be approx. $3150 which include airfares, accommodation, fees and other competition related costs.

To assist with meeting these costs we will be running several fundraising events, as well as seeking sponsorship support. All money raised through these activities will be used directly by Yuuma to cover airfares, accommodation, and competition related expenses.
