Zeelandt Brewery Cyclone Recovery

Chris & Luciana Barber, owners of Zeelandt Brewery are known to be passionate about true to style beer, and the quality of their brew's are enjoyed far and wide.

Zeelandt Brewery, and the adjoining Cone & Flower Garden bar, has been devastated by Cyclone Gabrielle. Not only have they lost their business, they have also lost their home after a harrowing experience with their children and dog, and after many hours they thankfully were rescued.

Chris is amazingly upbeat about how fortunate they are to have come out of this with the family all still together, and, in his words "everyone is being a good bastard!"

Zeelandt are members of the Brewers Guild of New Zealand, the largest group of breweries in the country who collectively support and guide New Zealand's Brewing Industry. While they do have insurance how much that will cover is yet to be seen. Now is the time for us to collectively support and give back to Chris, Luciana and the wider Zeelandt team.

The funds collected go directly to the family, to do whatever they wish to get them, their family, the Zeelandt team and the brewery back to where they need to be to enjoy life and to start making their spectacular beers again!
