Donate now to boost young environmentalist women in Marlborough through Zoe Luffman's Environmental Fund and Envirohub Marlborough.
Marlborough
Inspired by the inspirational environmental work done throughout her youth by one of our very own Conservation Kids, Zoe, and with the generous and kind donations from our wonderful community, we have created a fund for young Marlborough women aspiring to do more for their environment.
The fund will have 2 funding rounds each year, but be open to applications at any time to young women aged between 13 and 18 years for environmental projects locally here in Marlborough.
The young women can enter as individuals or as a class or group and each funding round will give away up to $500. In addition to the funds, Envirohub Marlborough also wishes to provide mentorship and guidance and use their networks to boost and further support these awesome young wāhine.
Your donation will continue to keep this fund alive and thriving and help to support even MORE young women in Marlborough for as long as possible. Thank you!
Envirohub Marlborough is a charity that works diligently to unite, inspire and assist the Marlborough community to achieve their environmental goals through four areas: Conservation Kids NZ, Zero Waste, Sustainable Communities and Marine Conservation.
The money will go directly into replenishing the Fund and be redistributed to young women and their environmental projects right here in Marlborough.
2025 Fund Recipients! 5 May 2026
We're thrilled to share the recipients of the 2025 Zoe Luffman Environmental Fund — two outstanding groups from Queen Charlotte College doing incredible mahi for our environment.
The QCC Edible Garden Project — Connie, Claire & Nadia
This team transformed their school's edible garden by purchasing seeds, soil, establishing a worm farm, and installing raised garden covers. They've also been growing swan plants shared with the wider community, with their worm farm munching through leftovers from the school kitchen and staffroom.
Kororā Nesting Boxes Project — Kahu, Nevaeh & Courtney
This crew designed, built, and painted kororā nesting boxes before delivering them to Lochmara Lodge — involved in every step from idea formation through to implementation.
What incredible and inspiring wāhine we have in our community. Thank you to everyone who has donated and made projects like these possible. 💚
Applications for Round 1 of 2026 have now closed — watch this space for this year's winners!
