Help save lives in Bell Block: AED for First Responder
Bell Block, New Plymouth
Hi, my name is Andrew and I’m an EMT with Hato Hone St John.
On my days off I volunteer to respond to cardiac arrests in Bell Block through the GoodSAM app. This allows someone nearby to start life-saving care before an ambulance arrives.
In the past 12 months, I’ve responded to 5 cardiac arrests in our community. In each case, I was able to start CPR but I didn’t have an AED with me. An AED can deliver a life-saving shock, with early defibrillation increasing the chances of survival.
I’m raising $3000 to purchase a Zoll AED that I can carry and use when responding off duty to these emergencies, giving patients the best possible chance before ambulance crews arrive.
Any support is hugely appreciated.

Funds raised will now go towards an additional AED.

Zoll AED Plus
We funded one AED, help us expand lifesaving coverage across New Plymouth! 19 April 2026
Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve reached our initial target of $3000 and I’ve been able to put an order through for a Zoll AED however I would love to order another!
Ive been approached by a colleague who also responds off duty to community cardiac arrests in Spotswood without an AED. Because of this, I’d love to extend this fundraiser with all additional funds being used to help purchase an AED for Adam.
If you or your business are able to support the cause we would be so grateful! Once again big thanks to the team at Primo!
Every additional AED in the community increases the chance that when a cardiac arrest happens, someone nearby can deliver a lifesaving shock as early as possible.
Thank you again for your support and for helping make our community safer!
