Well, its only 12 weeks until the big day. I'd love to say training is going to plan but I have had a big setback in the form of a recurring hamstring injury which has seen me unable to run for the last 4 weeks. The physio is strengthening me up and is confident I will make it, and somehow I will! I should be running again in the next week after numerous tedious but essential strengthening and lengthening exercises, and will work extra hard to get back to where I was and back on schedule. The good news is Tanja and her family are back and have had an awesome trip, and are now getting ready for the next step in their journey.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to help Tanja, Wayne, McKenzie and Anika. My goal is to raise $1000 for them, and have reached well over the $500 mark already, I am thrilled! So the pressure is on... this week I have clocked over 40kms on the hills, with 16km being my longest hill run so far. Did my second attempt at a 12km rather evil hill run (from the top of Gebbies Pass to the Packhorse Hut for those local) and whilst I know I can do half the distance of the big run now, I also know I need to get much better at the continous steep bits! Bought special trail running shoes today, so obviously next week I will run much faster :-) Thank you for all the support!
