Inspired by Captain Tom, the children of Karori Normal School are undertaking a 100 lap challenge for Wellington Children’s Hospital.
Wellington
Inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 100 laps of his garden to raise funds for the NHS during the first UK lockdown, the children of Rōpū Kōwhai (Karori Normal School) are undertaking our own 100 lap challenge.
The location will be Ben Burn Park where, as a group, we will walk, run skip or dance around the track as many times as we can (at least 100).
We are raising money for Wellington Children’s Hospital so that sick children can receive important care and support.
We are also coming together to appreciate how lucky we are to be able to, when so many other countries around the world are struggling to bring Covid-19 under control.
This event will be held on Monday 23 November, with a back-up date of Wednesday 9 December in case of bad weather.
We talked about Captain Tom at school, and wanted to copy his efforts. We may not reach $33 million, but please help us reach our fundraising goal!
