100km run around Wellington City for the Mary Potter Hospice to honour Mum.

Nobody needs hospice until they’re saying goodbye to a loved one.
Mary Potter Hospice provides compassionate, high-quality palliative care to patients and their families, completely free of charge. To ensure this care remains accessible to everyone who needs it, Mary Potter Hospice relies on community support, needing approximately $8 million in donations each year.
Tuesday, 3 March 2026 marks ten years since my mum, Annette, passed away after her journey with cancer. During that time, Mary Potter Hospice cared for her, creating a space of comfort, dignity, and compassion. Mum was incredibly thankful for the hospice at the time, and their support has left a lasting impact on me.
In her honour, I will be running 100km around Wellington City, finishing at Makara Cemetery where Mum is, to raise funds for Mary Potter Hospice.
This run is my way of giving back to an organisation that gave us so much, and helping to ensure other families can receive the same level of care, regardless of their circumstances.
Any donation, no matter the amount, is enormously appreciated by both myself and Mary Potter Hospice.
If you’d like to support on the day by joining me for a kilometre or two, offering encouragement, or meeting me at the end to celebrate Mum, I’d love to hear from you.
