100km Run For Gumboot Friday

Burnsco's Northern Regional Manager, Simon Goodall, will take on a challenge — running 100 kilometres across Auckland stores in support of Gumboot Friday, helping fund free mental health counselling for young New Zealanders.

Starting at Burnsco Manukau, Simon will make his way through all seven Auckland Burnsco stores — Half Moon Bay, Mt Wellington, Westhaven, Westgate, Albany, and Gulf Harbour — completing the full 100km in a single day. The journey is expected to take approximately 18 to 20 hours from start to finish.

“I’m doing this to raise awareness for our teams around mental health. For me, this might be hard — but I want to acknowledge those who are or have been having a hard time. Every single step I take is to remind you that you can keep moving forward and in the moment it may feel impossible and that's actually ok.”
