2021/22 Ronnie Run Fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House

$100 donated
Given by 5 generous donors in around 7 months

The North Harbour Ulysses Ronnie Run is held every year with the sole purpose of raising funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Auckland

Has your child or someone you know ever been in Starship Hospital and been lucky enough to have their family close to them due to the wonderful people that run the Auckland Ronald McDonald House?

The 2021 'Ronnie Run' unfortunately got postponed due to Covid last year but will be held on the 20th of FEBRUARY and we have made it our goal to try and raise over $10,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charity this year so we are reaching out to the general public to help us in this goal! We managed just over $6,000 in run registrations, T-Shirt, Badge and raffle ticket & auction sales in last year's 2020 run but want to raise as much as we possibly can this year.

The Ronnie Run was re-started 6 years ago by a dedicated pair of the North Harbour branch of The Ulysses Club of NZ Inc and has been held every year since. To date North Harbour Ulysses has raised over $33,000 for Ronald McDonald House and all the families that benefit from the House while their children are in Starship Hospital.

North Harbour Ulysses is supported by PB Technologies, Apex Trophies & Engraving, Heritage Hotels, Techmoto, Cyclespot, Holeshot and North Auckland Harley Davidson who provide the T-Shirts, run badges, and raffle prizes and auction items like vouchers for all inclusive hotel stays for two or store vouchers and items for the motorcycle enthusiasts who join us on the day in supporting this awesome charity.

About Ronald McDonald House;

RMHC® New Zealand gives families with a hospitalised child what they need most — each other.

It costs $171 to fund a family for one night and in 2020, RMHC® New Zealand provided 3,697 families with accommodation and support free of charge at its facilities throughout New Zealand. The Ronald McDonald House® and Ronald McDonald Family Room® programmers take care of the practical things in life so families can focus on their child staying in a hospital away from home. This helps to relieve stresses like paying for a place to sleep near the hospital, organising family meals and needing a friendly ear to listen on tough days.

Although McDonald’s are RMHC New Zealand’s largest corporate partner, RMHC New Zealand are an independent charity. They rely on the support of the entire community and greatly value the generous donations from the community and other corporate partners. If you would like to know more please see our 2020 Annual Report; https://2020annualreport.rmhc.org.nz

Please share this page far and wide so we can make this a massive year for the Ronnie Run and smash our goals to give NZ families as much time with their loved ones as we can.
