2023 - A Year without Beer

$8,887 donated
Given by 80 generous donors in one year

Going a year without a drink in the name of good health and good causes.

Nationwide

I'm going the year of 2023 without beer (or any alcohol) to raise funds for some great causes, and be a bit healthier as a result!

2022 was a bit of a struggle health wise; I got Covid, the flu, then long Covid for the last 6 months of the year. I felt pretty knackered most of the time and couldn't head out of a run or a bike ride, which is a big part of how I keep mentally and physically healthy. I'm aiming to get back to full fitness in 2023, and cutting Friday after work beers will hopefully help.

I'll donate the price of two pints at my local ($26) every week for the year, and would love for you to get behind me. All donations will be split between Rural Support Trust, who do incredible work supporting our farmers, and the Cancer Research Trust, who support research into the big C, which a third of New Zealanders will be diagnosed with in their lifetime.

Thanks for the support!

Great work and great cause Stu, good on ya mate! I also reaped the benefits of this alcohol free year as it kept Festa out of some late night sessions, so we all won! Cheers to a fab 2024 to all!
