CrossFit Central Wellington will workout for 24 hours (from December 14, 2:00pm) to raise funding and awareness for Sands Wellington.
Wellington
CrossFit Central Wellington has a tradition of using sweat power to raise money and awareness for deserving local organisations. The entire membership participates does what we do best - challenging workouts - for 24 hours trying to go as far, heavy, or many times as possible.
We'll workout from December 14, 2:00pm until December 15, 2:00pm. The specifics of this year's workout will be announced closer to the day.
Sands Wellington-Hutt Valley is a voluntary organisation that provides support and information to parents and families following the loss of a baby or infant. Whether your baby died in pregnancy, around birth, as an infant or toddler, and no matter how your baby died, you are welcome and they offer their support.
They run support meetings in the community, provide individual support on the phone or in person (when they can), lend out books and resources through their small lending library, and hold events during Baby Loss Awareness Week and at other times throughout the year. They also provide Moses baskets, clothing and memory books to Wellington and Hutt hospitals and in the community.
At CCW we enjoy the benefits of a strong, supportive community which helps empower everyone to build, improve, and achieve beyond what they could on their own. Every year we look for ways CCW can take this community involvement to the next level.
