Raising Funds for the I am Hope Foundation with all donations being matched and that money being donated to Voices of Hope.

Canterbury

Help me raise money for I am Hope and Voices of Hope as I participate in the 28 Day Mental Health Charity Challenge in conjunction with Snap Fitness Ferrymead and the I Am Hope Foundation.

Mental Health has some saddening statistics in our country. Every 3 days we lose a life to suicide. There is more teenagers and young adults who have had mental health issues sometime in their life than those who haven't. Those who take their life leave the people around them broken and hurt. Those who think about attempting it feel like they have lost hope and don't have a place in the world anymore. Charities like I am Hope and Voices of Hope help teach people there is always hope even in the darkest times. There is a reason for you to be here, there is a reason to continue.

To promote positive mental health and raise money for the awesome work that these charities do I am going to take it upon myself to attempt the 28 day challenge. This will involve me doing:

1. 30 mins of vigorous exercise

2. 10,000 steps (That's 280,000 steps)

3. As many sit ups as I can (starting at 5 for each of these then building up each day)

4. As many pushups as I can

5. Holding a wall sit for as long as I can

6. As many steps as I can to push towards the collective goal of hitting the required amount of steps to climb mt everest on the stepmaster (Roughly 3,500 floors of steps)

7. Journalling something Im thankful for

EVERY SINGLE DAY!

It will be a tough challenge but the end goal is always worth it. So please if you can donate that would be awesome. All funds raised will be matched and that money will be donated to Voices of Hope another excellent organisation educating New Zealand about positive mental health and providing excellent workshops for teenagers to recover and heal from negative mental health impacts.
