Walking 300 kilometres in the month of June in hopes of raising funds for HUHANZ
Wellington
I am Morgan from DaisyPets. I am a pet blogger from Wellington, New Zealand and blog about all things pet related. A lot of content is surrounding life with my dog, Diego, a staffy dachshund cross. We wanted 2017 to be a year of giving back to the community and that's where this idea has come from.
In the month of June, Diego and I will be walking at least 300 kilometres with all donations going straight to HUHANZ. HUHA is very close to our heart as an organisation and we wanted to be able to help them out towards their ever stacking vet bills. Three hundred kilometres breaks down to ten kilometres walked a day, taking roughly two hours. I wanted to make this a challenge, but also show people that it is possible to fully exercise your dog while working a full time job, gym life, social life and also, June is the first official month of Winter.
HUHANZ is New Zealand's leading no-kill shelter, and are doing amazing work within the community to improve the life of animals within our country. They are campaigning for many law changes that will positively impact our pets and animals, as well as running a shelter in Otaki. Their vet bills are ever increasing as they rehabilitate and medicate the animals in their care before rehoming.
During the month of June, I will be writing blog posts, and video logs showing our progress and how it is going. This can all be viewed on www.daisypets.co.nz and also by following our social media under DaisyPets.
I would love to see everyone join in and showcase the walks and adventures you and your pets go on! Use the hashtag #300kmJune so that we can see it!
