42km Marathon Trail hike for the children of Gaza

Albert Town, Otago

On 2nd of March 2024, Jessie and Michelle will take part in a 42km marathon walk at Motutapu, It will be the longest one-day hike either of us have completed. The marathon starts at Motatapu Station near Lake Wānaka and finishes at Arrowtown.

We'll be walking the route ancient Maori used for hunting and gathering, to fundraise for charities providing crucial aid to the chidren in Gaza who have lost parents, home or family in the crisis. An estimated 17,000 children in the Gaza Strip are unaccompanied or separated.

*We have paid 100% of our own entry fees and travel - so your donation goes directly to the Unicef Children of Gaza Appeal.
