I've done it !!
8 October 2023I finally completed my journey at the wonderful Mt Cook marathon 42km in 5hr45min on 7th October. It was perfect running conditions, the wonderful scenery certainly helped me to ignore the pain, I gave it my all out there, my knee injury did not stop me. So, with a total of 9 half marathons and one full marathon completed, I think I've earned a bit of a rest now. I would like to thank all you wonderful donors to my page to support dog watch, the page will stay open until the end of October.

3 weeks to go
18 September 2023I've now completed 9 half marathons in total, which I'm really stoked about. Had a minor setback this week trying to compete my first 30km plus run with a small knee problem and had to abandon. I'm not letting this stop me, can't disappoint everyone. I'm having to change my style of training this week whilst I rest my knee. Only 3 weeks to go, I WILL be at Mount cook, I WILL complete this !!! Thank you for all your support.

Training update
20 August 2023My training is going well for the full marathon, it's hard going but the thought of helping the doggies keeps me going. I've now completed in total 8 half marathons, I should be well on the way to 10 before the marathon starts - its only 48 days away !! A great big thanks to all of you who have donated, it means such a lot to me and dog watch.

I did it !!!!!
16 May 2023On sat 14 May I completed my 5th half marathon. Was tough going off road which I'm not used to.
I've decided to up the game and I've entered a full marathon 42km in October. Your support and help would be greatly appreciated by Dog Watch and myself. This will be a big challenge physically and mentally, but I can do it !! I'll update the page with how training is going....

4th half marathon complete
17 April 2023I've just completed the chch half marathon on 16th April 2023. Was a great day and I was well pleased with my result 2hr 31mins. Next one in 4 weeks on mother's day, big challenge for the quick turnaround. Check back here for the result !!
Please help me to get to my goal for dog watch. Thanks to all of you so far your support it means such a lot to me.

Progress so far
13 November 20223 half marathons completed: Pegasus 2hrs 26 mins, Lincoln 2hrs 27mins, Rangiora 2hrs 34mins (raised a separate $191.40 direct to Dog Watch), UPCOMING EVENTS: Chch April 2023, St Clair (Blenheim) May 2023 - and a surpise for October 2023 !
