607 Holes for Hope
31 January 2023In 2021, New Zealand lost 607 lives to suicide. In a country like this, that is far too many. This is a number that should make everyone think about what they can do to make people feel more supported in their time of need.
January 3rd-11th 2023, I will be attempting to play 607 holes of golf over 10 days across a number of regions of New Zealand and a number of the best courses in the country, raising awareness and money for each of these lives lost.
All money raised will be donated to I AM HOPE who aims to promote positive attitudinal societal change around mental health throughout New Zealand, with money raised being used to fund private care and counselling for young people stuck-in-the-mud on waiting lists.
My goal for this challenge is to bring together the golfing community in New Zealand and around the world, to bring awareness and financial support to the cause. The golfing community is strong and so tightly knit, Please be part of the golfing and local community banding together and finding ways to support a cause that is screaming out for help.
Please contact me if there is a way you would like to be involved!
