A "Cat" Walk To Remember: Fundraising for Breast Cancer

We are walking as far as we can in 12 hours to fundraise for Breast Cancer charities in honour of our recently departed Cat Thorburn

One Tree Hill, Auckland

We recently lost our Chief, Friend, Mother, Daughter, Wife, Sister & All round Legend Cat to triple negative breast cancer. We had a fundraiser set up in her name in July ... and by September she was gone. It was swift ... which depending on how you look at it was a blessing and a curse.

Cat brought something inexplicable to this world. She somehow managed to have the most tasks to juggle, but the most time to give her friends. Her brains, talent, intellect, drive & heart were only ever shadowed ... by her beautiful head of hair. She also had the biggest burden to bare but somehow always found a way to think of others.

Cat was a huge advocate for breast cancer awareness and spoke often about the legacy she would leave for her family and friends when she passed, and for that reason her friends and Whanau are planning a massive fundraiser to not only honour her memory, but to donate to Breast Cancer New Zealand and Sweet Louise Charity, and help families like Cat who are facing similar struggles.

Follow the FB link below if you'd like to hear more about the fundraiser, and click the Google Document we have attached below to register for the walk. It'll only be an hour out of your life ... and its what Cat would have wanted.
