A run for Meridee

Hello,

My name is Coralie and I have never really considered myself a 'runner', but here I am, a couple of months out from my first half marathon.

I will be partaking in the Buller Gorge Half Marathon on February 9th 2019.

However, I would like to do a little more than just run in the marathon and would like to raise funds for a very special loved one that means a lot to me.

My cousin, Meridee Walter, was diagnosed two years ago with Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma which is a rare illness with only one in a million people diagnosed each year and generally much older than Meridee.

The last 24 months have brought many challenges for Meridee and through it all she continued to smile and spread her positive spirit.

But she needs our help to get over the latest hurdle.

As traditional treatments are no longer working, there is only one option left - Immunotherapy.

This is still an experimental treatment which is not covered by the public health system and carries significant costs.

For this Meridee and her family need our help.
