Half Marathon for Mental Heath Aotearoa

Wellington, Kapiti Coast District

As I have mentioned in the past, physical exercise and being outdoors has helped me gain control over my mental health greatly. As part of my 2020 NY’s resolution, I signed up to complete and fundraise for a half marathon, where the proceeds were donated to Mike King’s Gumboot Friday Campaign to get young people like myself access to free therapy and support. Due to the unfortunate circumstance of Covid-19, 5 of the 6 races I entered were cancelled, and on the 6th I GOT COVID!! grr.. so finally I am 4 weeks out from completing this bucket list challenge.

Gumboot Friday is on Nov 4th this year, and I am still a massive fan of the foundation and the support they provide for the young people of Aotearoa. Which is why I would like to continue to raise funds for them this year 2022.
