    Five days to go until the 21.05km half marathon. Thank yo all for your donations!

    I did a 18km run on Snday. I found my muscles really hurt in my legs for two days after.

    I'm getting new running shoes 'just in time' and hope they'll ease my legs somewhat.

    I'm looking forward to the event. The forecast is 14 degrees and overcast, which should suit me just fine.

    Ah, thats the last long training run done. Hard work. Now the pre-run eating plan kicks in. Basically lots of carbs and no booze.

    Just ten days to go til the big run.

    An 18km training run due, some shorted 8km runs, a bit of stretching and maybe a swim.

    I ordered some new running shoes and am keeping the cold at bay.

    On sat 19 Sept I did 15KM in the wind, rain and 9 degree temp of a Wellington spring day.
