Help prevent further avoidable deaths
Wellington
On the 6th of September we will be collectively attempting to climb the height of Mt Everest (8848m) to raise money for the Kimi Worrell Legacy Fund.
Kimi was my brother's girlfriend and one incredibly inspiring person. Kimi passed away while climbing in the Coromandel on the 19th of August in an accident that caused her to fall 120m to the forest floor. This preventable accident was caused by a lack of maintenance for permanent hardware. The fixed line that snapped costs $15 to replace.
This page is to raise a legacy fund in Kimi's name, the proceeds of which will be placed in a trust. The interest of this trust will be used exclusively to replace existing fixed lines and hardware in climbing areas around NZ from this day on.
