I'm delighted to say I've finally had my Specialist appointment, Mammogram and got the results back and it's all good.
Great to be able to pass that 5 year milestone and I don't need to see the specialists again.
I will still have free yearly mammograms.
My hair has already grown a bit too
Thank you for your kind donations, the total is now over $1000 and that will help a lot of women going thru treatment
My nephew Tom hacked my hair off when I was part way thru chemo in April 2016 and he did the first chop today almost 5 years later. My sister Shirley tidied it up.
Thanks again to all my family and friends over the years
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, from friends and family to complete strangers, it's a joy to see.
My hair is going sometime over Easter and the hair will go to a place in Dunedin that makes wigs for people with alopecia, cancer-related baldness and other hair loss. If my hair is ok to use they make a donation to my charity of choice.
I'll update everyone with the chop photos.
Unfortunately my last appointment for my 5 year clearance has been delayed again as the specialist will be on holiday so I've decided to carry on with getting rid of the hair anyway
In the meantime, here's a photo of some of the 14 different hairstyles
As I'm in managed isolation I'm doing a different hairstyle each day
Day 2
I'm going to be in managed isolation when I get back from the UK on 09/03 so I've decided I'll do a new hair style each day. Suggestions welcome. I'm thinking "Princess Leia" first up
Thank you for your generous donations so far, it means a lot to me. You are all amazing
It would be great if you could also share the link to my Give a little page
I'll advise a time and date for the chop once it's all set up. It will be in March
Cheers
Anne
