Fundraising for the construction of a much needed spring-well for families to have access to clean water in Uganda.
Ilam, Christchurch
On Tuesday 3rd of December, student ambassador Ashton Cody, and some of his year 8 school friends will be setting off to 'Walk with a Purpose' raising funds to make a significant and life saving difference in the lives of others.
Ashton and his friends will be raising funds for the construction of a much needed spring well, which will provide families access to clean water, in one of the local villages where Fountain of Peace is working in Uganda.
The boys will start walking a 10 km route to Medbury School at around 6 am and will arrive to school in time to start the school day. The walk is expected to take approximately 2 hours and represents the distance some children in Uganda walk to collect water for their families and also the distance many children walk to and from school each day.
The heart of Ashton and his friends 'Fountain of Peace NZ - Walk with a Purpose' is that these boys can come together for something much bigger than themselves, to create lasting change in the world. They would be so grateful for your support. Every dollar raised will get them one step closer to reaching their goal of bringing fresh water and fresh hope to families in need.
