This is Tamahau. I'm a 12 year old disabled Achilles International NZ long distance runner from Tauranga. I've competed in over 80 track and road and trail running events ( including being guided by Sam Ruthe at the Colgate games) thanks to Achilles advocating for me at events and providing guides so I can see.
Long distance running has helped me build confidence, make new friends, travel NZ while doing something I love. In NZ there are very little opportunities for disabled youth to compete in events that are not sprints. I want to raise funds for Achilles so that other disabled youth can have the same amazing opportunities I've had over the last three years.
