Back Yard Ultra with a purpose

I'm just a wahine who loves to run and challenge myself along the way. After completing my lastest BYU and clocking up 113.6 km ( a new PB! ) I found myself thinking I need a new challenge and what better way than seeing if I can a go further than I ever dreamed possible and raise funds along the way. The charity I have chosen is camp quality - a chance for tamariki living with cancer to experience a camp that allows tamariki to have a blast.

Why Camp Quality? My brother was diagnosed with cancer as a child and he was able to attend a camp. This lead me to wanting to understand exactly what this organization does by attending a camp myself as a camper companion as I didn't get the opportunity to talk through my brother's experiences due to him sadly passing away not long after attending C.Q. So I know first hand how important this camp is for all those who attend. It's simply a magical time for tamariki.

So team, donate what you can and I will wear a fun shirt of your choosing for a lap of 6.7 km as I run the Sandy Point Back Yard Ultra on January 10th 2026.
