I can report that I successfully completed the Buller half challenge on Sat 13th Feb. I snuck under the challenge time by 1min! Finishing in 2.04hrs. Pretty slow, but considering the short training period and the fact I suffered a partial tear to my MCL in my right knee 1.5weeks before race day, I am pretty happy to just complete it. It was a fair amount of pain in the last 5 km's! For those that pledged - time to pay up! For those that donated - Thank you so much.

I am a little short of the $5k donations target for the run so at this stage I do not have to commit to the full next year! - If late doantions tip it over the $5k mark then I will meet the challenge. Thanks to my brother Fraser for being a training partner, supporrter, and fellow competitor (he beat me!). And to Mike, Shaun, Amanda, Blair and Dad for being there on the weekend and supporting and / or running it also. Also to my wife Fi for builidng up my ego and doing everything to help me make the start line after my MCL injury!!! Legends.

  • Buller Half marathon Challenge

      3 February 2021

As part of my fundraising drive I have signed up to a half marathon on Feb 13th. The kicker is i am doing it with just over 5 weeks of training before the race (starting form nothing).

I am aiming to complete the race and beat 2hrs 5mins. Donations to my page as support are greatly appreiated for this worthy cause.

If I get $5k in donations from the race, I will commit to a FULL MARATHON at Buller 2022!!!
