Title and Company: Executive Principal, Christ’s College
What is your cooking experience? My cooking experience reflects my ability ... negligible!
What would your cooking signature dish be? Red wine with matched cheese and crackers, or on a very good day omelette with cheese filling!
Why are you cooking to help disadvantaged Canterbury children get a fair start in education? This is a wonderful way of supporting those in need and demonstrates that philanthropy can be fun. One of the greatest gifts one can give a child is the best chance possible. The City Mission’s Back to School Programme is all about that.
What does being part of Bayleys Plate Up for a Purpose mean to you and your organisation? Christ's College continually looks at ways we can be a part of the wider Christchurch and this event is exactly that. It also has a clear educational enablement focus and that reflects our position. We believe education can change the world and should be equitably available to all members of our community.
How can the general public help you? Donate, donate, donate!
The Christchurch City Mission runs 13 services including the Back to School programme, emergency foodbank, separate men's and women's emergency night shelters, addiction counselling, men's and women's day programmes.
