Nationwide
Jamie Strang, is a remarkable 76-year-old who's taking on Cook Strait with a rowboat and a heart full of courage. A few years back, Jamie cycled from the tip of the North to the bottom of the South, and now he’s about to complete this journey.
On the 9th of July, Jamie's hitting the waters, not just for the thrill of it, but for a cause close to his heart – the rural wellbeing programme Farmstrong. As someone who's been in the thick of rural life in Wairarapa, Jamie understands the challenges of farming and growing and what a difference it can make if you invest in your wellbeing and stay Farmstrong.
Learning to row has been challenging for Jamie both physically and mentally so supporting Farmstrong and the great work they do to help farmers ‘Live Well to Farm Well’ and help them cope with the ups and down of farming made sense.
