Belle Did It!! 24 January 2025
Yesterday we went to the hairdressers at Top of the Town, where we usually get Kingi’s hair cut, and Katie embarked on the big task of shaving Belle’s hair off. It was very emotional, a big moment, and the whole salon was charged. Both the hairdressers and I were in tears, and Katie changed her plans in order to allow more space and time for us to do the occasion justice. She wouldn’t accept any pūtea for her work, and donated the hair cut to the cause. Belle was happy and excited, and definitely enjoying the lightness of having not much hair! We are so happy and grateful to have raised $721 thanks to all of you wonderful donee’s, we appreciate your support and are so happy to be able to give that koha to Māhina, with so much love. 💗💗💗
