Ben's BAMFIT Running For Hospice

On Sunday 10th November, members of BAMFIT Gym are taking part in the Tauranga City To Surf event to raise money for the Waipuna Hospice.

Ben, the gym's 'Captain', passed away on the 14th of September out at Waipuna Hospice, and we want to take this opportunity to try to give back in honour of him.

A note from Waipuna Hospice:

Waipuna Hospice is predicting a need of $12.2 million to fully fund their service in the next financial year, and while approximately 50% of that will come from Te Whatu Ora, this leaves a staggering $6.1M shortfall. They are committed to ensuring that their services remain free of charge for all patients and families, as they firmly believe that hospice care should be accessible to everyone who needs it. Waipuna Hospice is extremely grateful for the ongoing support from the local community to help them to meet their service funding needs.
