Surviving training and stepping into the ring - Help me raise funds for Suicide Prevention Awareness

I am competing in Battle For Life 2015 on September 19, to raise funds for Suicide Prevention Awareness in Hawke's Bay.

There is no one in my life that doesn't have their own suicide story to tell. It occurs regardless of age, gender or ethnicity and devastates families and communities left to deal with such finality.

I'm fighting in memory of my sister who took her own life in 2009, with the hope that what ever is raised can help stop this from happening to others. That it will stop others from having to wonder why.

Please support this cause by donating. Any amount is greatly appreciated and just so you know, I'm pretty much crapping myself! This is by far the scariest thing I've ever done!

Goal achieved! THANK YOU 21 August 2015

It's funny to reflect on how often I find myself saying 'thank you' at the moment, though not surprising.

So many have donated through here, bought tickets to come watch me and given in other ways too.

This afternoon, I hit the $1000 goal all of us fighters have for this cause. It's an amazing feeling and time to say 'thank you' again. I truly appreciate you all putting your hand in your pocket and giving your money to the cause. Like most goals, once you achieve it, you just keep going! I'm so excited to see how much more I can raise for suicide prevention awareness.

The next four weeks will fly by and I'm looking forward to seeing lots of my peeps on the night.
