Participating in Indoor Cycle For The Breast Cancer Foundation (NZ)
Wellington
On Saturday 19 October I will be partaking in a charity event to help raise much-needed funds and awareness for the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.
Their goal is to keep a spin bike moving for 12 consecutive hours. I'll be participating with a group of amazing people to take on a 30-minute slot whilst fundraising to help them reach their target of $3,500.
Every day, nine women are diagnosed with breast cancer in New Zealand. That’s 3,500 women every year (and approximately 25 men). And each year more than 650 Kiwis die of breast cancer. It’s the number one cause of death in women under 65.
Breast cancer has impacted people in my community that inspire me and lift me so I am taking this opportunity to raise money for them and their extended community to give back that energy and kindness.
This October, we're asking members, staff, and the wider community to help us raise much-needed awareness for the Breast Cancer Foundation!
