Participating in Joyride '26
Nationwide
We’re a crew from the Addington Community who really want to see people who are facing extreme poverty in Kolkata have opportunities for a fair chance at life.
We’re planning on getting together to bike 260km in one day - that’s length of the Hooghly river: the spiritual, economic, and physical heart of Kolkata. It’s a symbol of Kolkata, and for us, a symbol of the length and breadth of change we want to see in communities who are in poverty.
We’re hoping to raise $5000 to send a whole community’s young people to a camp for a weekend! We know camps help young people gain courage, joy and hope and that’s what we want to see in Kolkata.

In Kolkata, a lot of kids don’t get to enjoy just being kids. Poverty and modern slavery don’t leave much room for fun or joy in their lives
