Help us raise $7,000 for kids and young people in Kolkata.
This November, my son Callum and I are riding from Kaka Point in the Catlins to Invercargill, along wild, weathered roads at the bottom of the South Island. We'll climb thousands of vertical metres over hundreds of kilometres, powered by nothing but our legs.
It's a big challenge. Callum is confident. I'm a little nervous. But our motivation is bigger.
We've both spent time in Kolkata. We've seen first-hand the devastating effects of extreme poverty and modern-day slavery, and the powerful work Joyya is doing to break that cycle.
Our goal: $7,000. That's one of everything:
$10 = a day out for one child
$20 = football club for one child (11 weeks)
$50 = language classes for one child
$100 = 3 months of Explorers for one child
$500 = a 3-year university scholarship
$1,000 = a year of hostel housing and schooling for a child in a dangerous situation
$5,000 = an overnight camp for a whole community youth group
Every level matters. Pick one, hit Donate, and ride with us. I'll post updates as the total climbs.
Will you help us reach $7,000 before we roll out of the Catlins 18th of November?
👉 Donate now and turn our sweat into someone else's security.

In Kolkata, a lot of kids don’t get to enjoy just being kids. Poverty and modern slavery don’t leave much room for fun or joy in their lives
Thanks so much for the donation.
